3 Things I Want For You
It’s Christmas time, and people are thinking about what these days?
In today’s post, I want to talk to you about the three things I want for you (specialists). Think of it as an early Christmas present – one that you get to open without getting into trouble!
Now I know what you’re thinking… Hey Jeff, as a specialist, we usually are NOT on the receiving end of gifts…instead, we are usually the ones gifting to our referring docs, right? Well I thought this would be a perfect time to return the favor.
HO HO HO…Here are three things I want for you more than anything else in the world that, frankly, I’ve been enjoying for the last couple of years with my practice and now with this coaching business.
3 Things I Want For You:
- More money
- More meaning
- More freedom
Dr. John, one of my coaching clients, has gone from 75 K per month when he joined us about a year ago to now over 90K/month.
For me, stories like that gives me meaning. It’s incredible that someone can take an idea, something that they are passionate about (for me it’s helping specialists transform into experts in their area) and turn that idea into material to teach others to do the same thing to get results like this one.
This would never have registered in my mind, to start a specialist-only coaching program, until others reached out for advice and then eventually for help to actually work with them on their practice.
So here’s what I want for you; I want you to have more money.
Because frankly, the more you can earn, the more incredible things you can do for your:
- referring docs
And frankly, you just lead the way and show by example what’s really possible. So, first thing, more money.
Secondly, more meaning, the chance to do incredible work; make a tremendous difference in the people you work with.
The monthly coaching calls, webinar training sessions and live events are my favorite things to do with you guys. As the technology is getting better and better, we are able to get information and training out the door even easier which makes learning it even that much simpler. To me, this is fun stuff.
Why does this matter? Because there’s a chance to make a tremendous difference. Just like you can make great money as a specialist and for some of you, that’s going to be one of the most important assets of practicing.
But I think most of the people who we get to work with, feel like we’re put on the planet to do BIG things. We’re good people, we want to help. And the chance to help people out is amazing.
So, contribution or more meaning is about making the biggest difference — biggest impact — you possibly can. And whether that’s charity work that you do on the side or frankly incredible work you do with patients, that makes a difference. Right? I know it does for me.
I’m just completely overwhelmed by the amount of progress our clients make every time we get together just to check in and go, “So, show me what you’ve done with what we’ve done together.” And the results are completely humbling.
And that’s really the reason we do what we do. You got to spend your life doing some work.
So let’s do work that makes the biggest impact possible. Cool?
Thirdly, more freedom.
When you think about freedom, you may only think about traveling.
But freedom isn’t just freedom to travel, it’s freedom to do what’s important.
And it’s very hard to be free when you are stuck trying to do EVERYTHING in your practice and NOT delegating out the things you hate doing the most.
So, I just want to give a shout out to Dr. Brian who’s gone from 38 hours in the mouth a week down to 24. He freed up 14 hours a week to focus on not working IN the practice but working ON the practice for growth, developing new strategies for his networking efforts with his referring docs, to spend more time with his kids, and his family, and more time having fun.
And so, I think more money, more meaning, more freedom is frankly what it’s all about.
And if your specialist practice doesn’t give you as much money, as much meaning, as much freedom — income, impact, and independence as you like, then, it’s probably not your fault.
There’s a really good chance that the model you’re following is somehow limiting one of those three things that we want to change. Right?
But that’s the deal.
So, more than anything in the world, here’s what I want for you. I don’t want sunshine, rainbows, and lollipops —although they’re nice.
But I do want to have:
- more money in the next 90 days than you have before
- more meaning and impact in the next 90 days than you ever have before
- more freedom in the next 90 days than you ever have before
So, if you’re already in our Authority Specialist Group, then I know that those three things are rushing towards you at light speed —more money, meaning, and freedom.
And if you’re not, do whatever you can to up your income, and your impact, and your independence.
